Alicia ze Swizz'em na Monster Takeover cz.1 - (24.08.)

W ramach weekendu MTV VMA Awards zorganizowano w NYC w klubie Marquee party
z udziałem Swizz'a & DJ Vice za konsolą. Gościnnie pojawiła się sama Alicia, która zaśpiewała
"Empire State of Mind" i "No One".

Alicia na Community Conversation HIV w Harlemie (22.08.)

16 sierpnia ogłoszono kilka najbliższych eventów z udziałem Alicii mających na celu podnieść
świadomość ludzi o HIV/AIDS. Jednym z zapowiedzianych wydarzeń okazała się 90-minuto-
wa konferencja w szpitalu w Harlemie dnia 22 sierpnia 2013 roku z udziałem kongresmena
Charles'a Rangel i Alicii. Po wystąpieniach Alicia wraz z innymi poddała się profilaktycznemu
testowi na obecność HIV. Poniżej wypowiedzi Alicii oraz video z tego wydarzenia.



“We don’t see people just dropping off like flies and dying. We don’t physically see someone 

becoming a skeleton and then not being able to live any longer and just dying. We saw that 

30 years ago and so that was why there was such an outrage. It was like ‘I’m not going to just 

let people just die in front of me,’”
“We definitely can’t be ignorant. It’s unacceptable, those statistics,”

“There are serious misconceptions out there that keep HIV/AIDS in the shadows,”

 “Each and every one of us has to come together to change that. There is no reason that Black 

and Hispanic people should continue to be affected like this. By talking about HIV/AIDS 

honestly and openly, we can overcome stigma and fear and start a real dialogue that allows us 

to know, learn and share the truth.”

“I want HIV to become something we talk about often and openly. I want it to be something 

that’s not awkward. I want the next generation of kids to grow up and wonder why it ever was,”

the same block that I walked down to get to work,”

“I realized after some time that there was so much forward motion in the international AIDS
 conversation, and as I looked here in America, I realized maybe we aren’t having that type 
of dialogue anymore,”
“In the ʼ’80s, when I was a little girl, there was a lot of conversation, fights and outrage about 
how this can’t happen to people. Now we’re not having that dialogue as much,”

“We’re OK talking because we’re ‘Angela-Yellow-1234-Blue, but when we’re Alicia or 
Stephanie, someone people know, we get afraid to start asking questions.”

W tym samym dniu, 21 sierpnia Alicia udała się również do stacji TV ABC promować
kampanię Empowered.

“Talking about HIV-AIDS, you know, it’s critical and it is our generation’s issue 

and if we don’t talk about it now, it’s going to continue,” “We tend to have 

a good international dialogue, like a good, healthy dialogue, but we’re not really 

discussing it in America. … We have to learn as much as we can and we have to 

share with as many people we can.”

“It doesn’t matter if you’re positive, if you’re negative, whatever the case, you’re 

at risk, your children are at risk,” “We have to talk about it, and we have to be 

able to dialogue [about] it again. … I think we’ve gotten a bit complacent, just 

feeling like it’s not something that will happen to us.”

W poniedziałek, 19 sierpnia pojawiła się wiadomość o udziale Alicii w debacie o HIV/AIDS
organizowanej przez magazyn Essence. Dyskusję w formie twitter-chata zaplanowano na
środę, 21 sierpnia 2013 roku. Tuż po godzinie 13 amerykańskiego czasu przez ponad
godzinę Alicia odpowiadała poprzez twitter na pytania zadawane jej przez chętnych

W wrześniowym numerze brytyjskiego wydania magazynu Cosmopolitan zamieszczono

“Women handle so much and it’s a lot of pressure. Becoming a mum has put things 

into perspective. I stand up for myself way more now. The minute I knew I was 

pregnant, I wanted to clear the energy around me. I didn’t want people in my life

it’s frustrating when we don’t get the recognition we deserve. It has to change.

help one another. There’s this one woman I met through [HIV/AIDs relief charity] 

Keep A Child Alive, Mama Carol. She lives in Africa and couldn’t bear seeing all these 

children losing their parents to AIDs, so she began taking them under her wing. 

When I first met her she was caring for 900 children; now it’s even more. 

She’s a huge inspiration to me.”

a sudden you're alive. And there's something great about that feeling - even if you never

Właśnie ukazał się oficjalny trailer filmu "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete",
którego producentem wykonawczym jest Alicia Keys. Artystka jest również autorką
muzyki do filmu. Premiera filmu z udziałem Jennifer Hudson, Jordan Sparks zapowiedziana
jest na 11 października 2013 roku.

Alicia w filmie dokumentalnym "Muscle Shoals".

Ukazał się trailer filmu dokumentalnego "Muscle Shoals", który to przedstawia historię
słynnego studia nagraniowego, wokół którego zebrały się takie osobistości jak Aretha Franklin,
Bob Dylan czy the Rolling Stones. W filmie pojawia się również rozmowa z Alicią Keys.

Alicia z koncertem na Filipinach!

16 sierpnia ogłoszono kolejny koncert Alicii w Azji. Tym razem wybrano Manilę na
Filipinach. Artystka zaśpiewa tam po raz drugi podczas trasy, po wcześniejszym
występie w 2008 roku. Tak jak na oficjalnym plakacie, koncert odbędzie się
25 listopada 2013 roku.

Zapraszamy na krótką relację video z występu Alicii, ale najpierw chcielibyśmy zachęcić do

Na razie nie są znane szczegóły ponownej wspólnej pracy w studio. Sama Alicia zapowiadana
jest w wielu nowych projektach muzycznych, w tym również sama potwierdziła rychłą pracę

Drugi koncert Alicii w Skandynawii odbył się podczas szwedzkiego Way Out Festival.
